What is the 5Essentials?
The 5Essentials is a diagnostic tool developed by the University of Chicago to be an "evidence-based system designed to drive improvement in schools." Their research has identified five components that are related to school improvement:
According to the 2016-2017 results from students and staff, Open World Learning Community is strong on three out of the five essentials, making it ten times more likely to improve student learning.
In several areas of this portfolio there will be data and information pulled from the results of the 5Essentials survey.
